Driven by creating stories celebrating the human experience that encourage change in the world, multiplatform content company Showdog Studio has been formed by veteran producers John Attard and David “Doc” Abbott. Platform agnostic, the company will focus on producing content for linear TV, streaming services, theatrical films, home entertainment and more.
In turn, the pair have brought veteran TV and film studio executive Robert Harris into the fold as executive producer. Attard said: “Doc and I are extremely excited to have Robert join the Showdog Studio team. We want to create stories of hope along the lines of the stories I’ve enjoyed watching over the years — many of which were deftly shepherded by Robert’s steady hand.”
